In 1993 Kessler began his Venture Capital activities by raising funds for Integrated Food Technologies, IFT, an aquaculture company that developed a technology to grow fish indoors in an environmentally organic and pure habitat on an industrial scale. Kessler was appointed to the Board of Directors after successfully funding IFT’s Development phase with more than one million dollars.
From 1996-2002, as CEO and Founder of film and television production company, OFFLINE Entertainment Group, Mr. Kessler produced “SLAM” (1998 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner; 1998 Cannes Camera d’Or winner and also Executive Produced the “SLAM” soundtrack for Immortal - Epic Records and Co Published the SLAM book with Grove). Over the years, under Kessler’s leadership and management, he has produced and or developed over 25 titles that received the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, Cannes Camera d’Or, Prix Du Public Cannes FF, IFP Gotham Award, nominated for an IFP Independent Spirit Award and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
In 2005 Kessler began running the feature film & television divisions at the Robert Evans Company, located on the Paramount Pictures Studio lot in Hollywood. There he developed a working relationship with the EVP of Licensing at Paramount Pictures and Founded Woodland Hotel & Resort Group, LLC and started identifying real estate opportunities for Paramount Pictures inspired Boutique Hotels in North America.
In May of 2016 he received his NYS Real Estate Salesperson License and joined RA Partners as a Senior Advisor and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson focusing on Investment Sales and Hospitality. In August of 2016 Kessler co-brokered the sale of the AMC Village 7 Theater located in Manhattan for $32,250,000. Kessler then become a co-founding member of Marcus & Millichap’s Global Capital Group (GCG) based on longstanding relationships with Pan-Asian and European Family Offices, International Investors, Retailers, Developers, and Institutional clients. GCG’s cadre team provides services to these international clients from owner representation to capital advisory, investment sales, and 1031 exchanges.
In August of 2018 Kessler co-brokered the sale of a Historic Cast Iron vacant building, 446-448 Broadway in SoHo NY for $46,750,000 for his Hong Kong clients to local buyers. Currently he’s representing Developers and structured the capital stack for a $350,000,000 ground up 5-Star Luxury Hotel and Condominium residences development in Buckhead, Atlanta.
Outside the real estate industry, Kessler is passionate about innovation and tech related opportunities. With his wide network of investors, Kessler will be opening doors for Chenel Capital and its ecosystem.
